A cannabis POS should help staff connect a dispensing record to the patient, prescription, stock and receipt. PorThorOS describes that workflow in its public help centre. This article explains those documented features; it does not certify a shop's compliance or report a completed test of its installation.
Available actions depend on the user's role, branch and connected services. Confirm the configuration for your establishment during a demonstration before relying on a feature.
Start a Cannabox MD request
The Customers and PT33 guide describes a New RX handoff: staff record the customer, start the request and give the patient a link or QR code to complete their own clinical intake. PorThorOS displays returned request, payment and prescription statuses. A submitted or paid request is not an approved prescription.
Cannabox MD supports the medical-review pathway. The authorised practitioner makes the clinical decision; staff acting only in a retail role must not issue PT33 or supply the patient's medical answers. Keep clinical documents out of general shop notes and support chat. For the patient's steps, read the Thailand prescription guide.
The same help page describes attaching an existing PT33. That records an existing document; it does not issue a new prescription.
Check the prescription before payment
According to the checkout guide, a controlled-product sale checks the selected patient's PT33 and remaining allowance alongside stock, price, payment and the open shift. The payment action remains unavailable until the server returns a ready quote.
These are software controls over the recorded information. They do not independently prove that an uploaded document is genuine, that source records are correct or that every legal requirement has been met. Ask the supplier to demonstrate both an accepted sale and a blocked sale using fictional patient data.
Keep the batch and source records connected
The inventory guide describes supplier records, purchase orders, batch receiving, stock counts, adjustments and branch transfers. Staff can inspect batch quantities and movement history when reconciling stock.
The guide also says the direct-receiving form does not require a certificate-of-analysis upload. Keep the relevant source and laboratory documents available separately; recording a batch does not verify its quality or provenance.
Review PT27 and PT28 before exporting
The compliance guide describes operational prescription records and monthly PT27/PT28 ledger exports. Review exceptions and reconcile the quantities with supporting transactions before using an export. A successful export is not evidence that a report has been filed or accepted.
Our guide to PT27, PT28 and PT33 explains the different records. Use DTAM's establishment guidance to check the duties applicable to your licence.
Use the free form generator separately
The free PT27/PT28 generator lets users enter records and print or save a form. Its published privacy notice says report data stays in the browser and is cleared on reload or close; optional newsletter signup sends email and consent information separately.
The generator does not issue PT33 or submit a report to DTAM. Review the records and save the required output before leaving the page. Confirm the accepted filing process with the responsible authority.
What to ask for in a demonstration
Use fictional data to follow a prescription request, an approved and a rejected checkout, a batch movement, a receipt and a monthly export. Confirm who can view patient documents and how corrections are recorded. Ask which features are available to your branch and which connections must first be enabled.
You can request a PorThorOS demonstration. The demonstration should show the records you need to retrieve, rather than treating a product description as proof of a working installation.
